We’ll have to resign ourselves to the fact that Resignation Media LLC, a California company that operates racy-photos-and-entertainment website TheChive, won’t be moving its headquarters to Denver or Boulder.
Instead, the brain trust behind TheChive’s steady diet of sexy women, cute dogs and babies, random funny stuff and more sexy women will be unleashed on Texas instead of Colorado.
Sarah Drake at our sister news source Austin Business Journal reports that Resignation looked at the Colorado cities as well as Seattle and Nashville before settling on Austin, Texas, as its new hometown, deciding it offered a low cost of living and better business climate.
Resignation will be moving 35 employees to the Texas capital city from L.A. by summer’s end and plans to hire 40 more, Sarah reports.

A California-based media company that owns entertainment website TheChive is moving its operations to Austin and into the 12,000-square-foot space on San Jacinto Boulevard formerly occupied by Shoreline Grill.
Resignation Media LLC will invest $8 million over the next five years to renovate the building and plans to hire about 40 people, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
A total of 35 current employees will relocate to Austin by the end of the summer, which was attractive with its lower cost of living and better business climate, CEO and co-founder Leo Resig told the newspaper. Seattle, Denver, Nashville and Boulder, Colo. were also in the running.
Resig expects the renovation process to be completed by the end of this year. Resignation Media was founded in 2008.
